On 3 August 1981 the building which was owned by No.4 Basic Education High School had been passed to and taken possession and then started to open into Government Technical High School. In 1997 September 1 , this school was transformed and promoted to open into Government Technical Institute. In October 2, 1999, it was built up to open to Government Technical College. On 1 May 2006, this College was moved to the place of Computer College which was located in Pam Ma Tee and Computer College was relocated and opened to the place of the present school. In 2009 May 5, Government Technical High School (Myitkyina) was reopened in the workplaces which exited in the compound of Institute of Computer.
